Join us in the WHRO studios for a town hall conversation addresses issues that so many communities in the country are facing: Race. The second topic of our Race: Let's Talk About It initiative addresses the controversial issue of "white privilege" - defined as "any advantage that is unearned, exclusive and socially conferred."
The conversation will be moderated by Barbara Hamm Lee, Host and Executive Producer of Another View.
Our panel includes Eric Claville, Professor of History and Law at Hampton University; Michele Woods Jones, Executive Director of the Hampton Unity Commission; Dr. Mavel Velasco, Batten Professor of Spanish at Virginia Wesleyan College and Jonathan Zur, Executive Director of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities.
